Pear wood glasses, collaboration with Ozed Eyewear

OZED EYEWEAR and BASK IN THE SUN have teamed up to offer the essential summer pack: a pair of polarized wooden sunglasses and a bucket hat, delivered in a laser-engraved box that also contains a few natural materials collected on the beach.

Located by the ocean (Hossegor for Ozed and Guéthary for Bask in the Sun), sharing common values around nature, the good life and wide open spaces, the two labels have chosen to work with an original material for the frames: pearwood(Pirus Communis in Latin, the expression giving the pack its name). Each pair is unique, numbered from 1 to 100, and hand-painted on part of the temples with a matt lacquer.

The bob's print and the box's engraving take up the theme of pear tree fruit, leaves and flowers. They are based on an illustration drawn in 1885 by the German botanist Otto Wilhelm Thomé.
